In August 2025, Georgia experienced a rise in its annual inflation rate to 4.6%, up from 4.3% in July. Meanwhile, price declines slowed for transport, easing to -2.4% from -3.8%, and for recreation and culture, which decelerated to -0.2% from -1.4%. Stable pricing was observed in housing and utilities (0.8%), education (4.6%), and miscellaneous goods and services (5.5%). Conversely, a moderation in inflation was noted in the categories of food and non-alcoholic beverages, dropping to 10% from 10.4%, and health, which decreased to 9.3% from 9.5%. Furthermore, deflation intensified slightly in clothing and footwear, moving from -2.8% to -2.9%. On a month-to-month basis, consumer prices increased by 0.3% in August, marking a reversal from a 0.2% decline in the previous month.
